Esta iniciativa surge tras la visita realizada por <strong>el Consell de Col\u00b7legis Veterinaris de Catalunya (CCVC)<\/strong>, representado por <em>Joan Mesi\u00e0<\/em>, presidente del COVB, y los presidentes de los dem\u00e1s colegios catalanes, con la participaci\u00f3n del diputado Ignasi Prat.<\/p>\n<p>La <strong>rabia <\/strong>es una enfermedad zoon\u00f3tica causada por un virus que afecta principalmente a animales dom\u00e9sticos y salvajes, siendo los perros los principales portadores. Aunque en Espa\u00f1a no se registran casos aut\u00f3ctonos desde 1978, la globalizaci\u00f3n y el movimiento de animales procedentes de zonas end\u00e9micas, como Marruecos o Ucrania, representan un riesgo significativo. En marzo de 2022, Catalu\u00f1a ya vacun\u00f3 m\u00e1s de 2.500 animales procedentes de Ucrania para mitigar posibles contagios.<\/p>\n<p>Pese a que en septiembre de 2022 se anunci\u00f3 la intenci\u00f3n de implantar esta obligatoriedad, el decreto todav\u00eda no ha sido publicado, generando incertidumbre en el sector veterinario y entre la ciudadan\u00eda.
